The great return of Fabergé

A review of:

Since 1915, Fabergé had closed its stores in London. The store, at 173 Bond Street, near the legendary Cartier, had been a meeting point for the highest nobility and heads of financial empires. However, the store closed due to the end of the Russian dynasty at the dawn of World War I, the jeweller being a supplier to the Russian aristocracy.

Today, the new location at 14A Grafton Street in a jewellery district of the capital. The store is decorated blending old and new styles, to illustrate the past, present, and future of the firm.

This is a second birth for the jeweller in London, as if it had been dormant for the past century. It has enormous potential to market the name due to its legendary past, and the dream often associated with the Russian court and tsars.

Furthermore, the collections are also available at Harrods.

Luxury brands, through their history often have an added strength on the market, especially as old aristocratic families are disappearing, the aura of such jewellers is enhanced as they are witnesses of past refinement. It's a good idea to revive such a dream.
